Romance and love at first sight are integral to our fantasies about mate selection. We love to hear stories about how people fall in love. We love the notion of two people gazing across a crowded room, eyes meeting, and love is in bloom. More often than not these people are in lust, not love. But this is not to say it cannot happen. However, it is unlikely.
More often love grows between two people who have a common connection. It is the common connection that binds us, love then blooms in the soil of mutual interest, mutual respect, and friendship. An intentional strategy for mate selection can increase the odds of this happening.
Think, for example, of the process we go through in selecting our "dream house." First we develop an idea of what we are looking for: one story, Mediterranean style, four bedrooms, large yard, in a particular geographic area, near schools, etc. We establish a price range. We may even get quite specific, because, after all, we will be spending a lot of time and money in this house. We want to insure, as best possible, that we will be happy in it. (Yet when it comes to choosing a mate we will go to a bar and hope we get lucky.)
Next we contact a real estate agent and tell the agent our requirements. We also drive around various neighborhoods on our own, read magazines and newspapers, make inquiries; in short we do our homework. Then the agent begins to show us around. Not infrequently we may spend many months and view many houses, sometimes hundreds of houses and even years, depending upon our particular preferences. All along the way we are collecting information and fine tuning our choices.
Finally, one day, we step out of the agent's car and find ourselves standing in front of our dream house; it's love at first sight! And that's what we will tell people. We eliminate the fact that we spent many hours, months, years, looking, searching, and refining before the "dream house." A similar approach should be used for mate selection. Only with mate selection it is even more difficult since the mate has to choose you as well, whereas the house does not.

A tale of two Microsofts
And so it was to a rather emasculated Los Angeles Convention Center for the first press conference and briefing of E3 2008.
The E3s of old were colourful, brash affairs but there were no signs of the traditional giant posters on the convention windows and walls. The walls were bare and the hall had the air of an accountancy convention, rather than a games conference.
We'd been dragged from our beds for an early morning exclusive press briefing with Microsoft, ahead of the actual Xbox conference. We were promised a "major announcement".
On the way to the venue the journalists speculated about the announcement:
"A price cut!" "A new Halo game""Bungie's new project"
So what was it? Well, it was Lips, a karaoke game that bears more than a passing resemblance to Singstar on the PlayStation 3.
A ripple of disinterest passed through the assembled media who half-heartedly asked some questions, most of which were batted away with a "we can't talk about that right now" response.
Microsoft brought on Welsh singer Duffy as the acceptable face of video games to plug the new title. Right on cue she admitted she didn't play video games because they were too violent.
One of the journalists asked her about downloadable content for Lips. Unsurprisingly, she wasn't exactly that well versed with the digital distribution plans for Xbox Live titles.
And so on we trouped to the press briefing proper. And it was the usual slick Microsoft briefing.
We were expecting a radical new direction for the console. But the first half was dominated by the classic blockbuster franchises, Gears of War 2, Fable 2 and Fallout 3.
Just as we thought that Microsoft's attempt to become a more family-friendly console was an illusion, up stepped John Schappert and Shane Kim to reveal all.
A re-designed Xbox Live, coupled with plenty of social and casual games were paraded in front of us. But it felt like Microsoft had merely cherry picked some of the more successful aspects of the PlayStation and Wii, and created versions for the 360.
There was lots of news about new developments for Xbox Live content but most of them applied only to the North American market.
Bungie were due on stage to reveal a taster of their upcoming project their first title post Halo. But there was no sign of them.
I had been due to speak with them immediately after the briefing but that too was pulled with little explanation.
And so what impression am I left with? Well, Microsoft are clearly a company being pulled in two directions: it needs to satisfy the blood-thirsty needs of its core demographic, but can only triumph over Sony if it can attract more European gamers to the platform, and they tend to prefer more casual titles.
Microsoft can do both but the firm just looks uncomfortable trying to do casual and social: a demo session during the briefing of three Xbox senior playing a movie game was just painful to watch.

You would *Laugh* at the sad pick up lines I used to use!
No seriously, some of the stuff I used to try in college is absolutely laughable... It's one of those things where you look back on yourself and shake your head. How did I ever think that would work! Things have changed though... things have changed a lot!
Just recently I was sitting back with some friends killing time with a pitcher of beer at our favorite patio bar just outside the city. A typical afternoon on a lazy Saturday. Much how we spend many of our Saturdays unwinding from the week. We had our eye on a girl sitting at another table with a friend. She was about an 8 out of 10...
Anyways... I told my buddy's I'm going over there to get her number. The usual teasing and betting whether or not I could do this, did not happen. They had been through this with me before.
I walked over and spoke with her and her friend for a minute or two, and just like I have performed in the past, she was writing her number down on a napkin in no time. In fact... they had already been approached once already, and the 3 of us were laughing together about how they had turned him down... poor bastard.
Other guys buy women drinks, try to dance with them, impress them with their friends, and try all kinds of crap for hours, night after night - and usually get nothing! I talked with her, and got her number within minutes - like I've done hundreds of times in the past. Another one down.. Easy!
The question is: What Happened? What did I say?
When I was in college, if you had of asked me if this was possible, I would have said "Yeah right... Maybe... but not for me!" But now... I do it all the time.
I'm nothing special either. I'm a regular guy... just past thirty. I'm not athletic, or especially good looking, In fact I've never been that type of guy that women ask out, or approach out of the blue.
Now though... It's not uncommon for me to be doing regular chores during the day, and get 3 or more numbers per day, and...dozens of numbers a week from good looking, interesting women... The type of women I would choose. The type of women YOU CAN choose!
I don't have any secret locations either... ok that's not Completely True!.. I do know of some places that are better than others, but in general, these techniques work best in every day places... your local coffee shop, mall, grocery store, were women are not expecting to be picked up. Their guards down in these places.
In fact.. a bar or night club can be devastating for men trying to pickup women. Every woman in the bar is expecting it, and has their guard up, and standards raised higher than ever. Without a special advantage... a guy's doomed to even try!
So how do I do this? How does a regular guy go from wishing for attention to getting phone numbers in minutes?

Average Credit Cards with Great Rates
Average credit cards are usually low on features and carry higher rates when compared to other credit cards. Most of the credit cards that consumers will find online are designed for people with very good credit or poor credit. However, in today’s market, the average credit scores nationwide for consumers have been trending downward. This is forcing banks and credit card issuers to focus on consumers who have fair to average credit more so than they have in the past.
When shopping online for average credit cards, consumers are typically offered credit cards that are geared towards consumers who have poor credit. This is simple economics, credit card websites make money when you are approved for a credit card, and credit cards in this class will allow them to get more credit cards approved. Unfortunately, in this scenario the credit card issuers win and the consumer loses.
However, if you know where to look, and which cards to apply for, consumers with average credit can find great deals in today’s credit card market. They may be buried on the last page of most credit card websites, but they do exist. Direct Banc is one of the few credit card websites that prominently displays the best of the average credit cards up front. These credit cards will carry the lowest rates and the best features for applicants with fair to average credit. Here are a couple examples:
IberiaBank Visa® Classic Card " IberiaBank is directly related to Pulaski Bank, one of these two banks recently bought the other one, I’m really not sure how it went down. Nonetheless, they offer a great credit card for those who have average credit. This credit card, like most credit cards, has a variable rate that hovers around 4% - 5% their credit threshold is stated as “Averageâ€.
Average credit is an unclear term, and each bank has a different definition of what “average†is. What we have noticed at Direct Banc, is that IberiaBank defines average credit as one who has a few bumps and bruises on his or her credit but generally pays their bills on time. Ample discretionary income and residential stability are key factors for them as well.
Another great credit card for average credit is the Capital One® Platinum card. This card offers a low 8.9% interest rate for those with average credit who qualify. One of the great features you will find with this card is a 0% balance transfer feature. Transferring a balance from another card to a 0% interest rate will give consumers a huge break on their monthly payments. As with all cards, we suggest that you read Capital One’s® important disclosures for More Information.
Finding average credit cards for fair to average credit may be a little harder than hopping on a website and applying for the first card that you see displayed. Most of the cards you will see prominently displayed are either aimed at consumers whose credit is very good, or those whose credit is very poor. However, if you take your time, read the fine print, you can find great deals on average credit cards.

Choosing Liposuction
Beauty of the face and an attractive sculpture of the body always go hand in hand. In the recent years there is a rapidly growing trend for looking young and attractive, especially the people who are working in social environments. There are a number of cosmetic procedures gaining interest in order to prettify ourselves, so is burning of the excess fat from the body. After puberty the fat cells remain constant in number. All that changes is its size that depends on the fat content present in them. A normal ratio of number of fat cells in different parts of the body gives a natural well built feature to the body, whereas deposition of fat cells in abnormal proportions modifies the shape of the body.
As people age, excess fat tends to crop up in the most unsightly places. For some, diet and exercise can help to improve one's overall appearance. Others, however, can diet and exercise unceasingly, while still having certain problem areas that refuse to become more attractive.
Here is where Liposuction enters the picture, and if you are frustrated with problem spots on your body, you may want to evaluate whether this advanced, minimally invasive surgery is right for you.
As the proverb says, beauty is only skin deep, the fat globules that spoil one's charm also lie skin deep. Fortunately, by latest advances in cosmetic procedures, it is possible to remove excess of fat in specific areas that does not respond to controlled diet and exercises. This process is called as Lipolysis. Liposuction is the surgical removal of fat cells through a cannula.
Liposuction was first performed in 1974 and was a great improvement over other surgical body contouring techniques. There have been many advances in liposuction procedures over the last few decades, making it one of the safest and most popular body contouring surgeries in the world.
There are different types of liposuction procedures available, all of which use the cannula to remove unwanted fat. Some of the procedures are: Tumescent liposuction that involves the injection if a large amount of anesthetic into the area being treated; the wet and super-wet techniques are variations of this type of liposuction.
The ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL), where sound waves are used to liquefy the fat before it is removed. The procedure LipoSelection that uses the same concept without disturbing the surrounding tissue. The Power assisted liposuction (PAL) that uses a motor-powered cannula, which allows the surgeon to use smaller movements and make the experience more comfortable for the patient.

How to Overcome Fear of Rejection in Dating Women
The real obstacle here is the fear.
As I mentioned, fear of rejection, or imagining rejection when you should be imagining success, leads to walking away.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
Ironically, I've found that the best way to overcome my own fear of rejection was to see that it wasn't going to actually happen.
The more times I approached women and started conversations and the more I saw that women usually responded positively, the less I imagined things going wrong.
This led to a positive feedback loop of me wanting to approach more women and have more success.
Here are a few ideas for overcoming your own fear of rejection:
1) Go out to a bar, and watch men approaching women.
Take a Saturday night, and just go out alone. Find a seat at the bar where things are busy, and just watch.
Make sure you visit a place that is really busy, so you can see a lot of people interacting.
Now, pay attention.
You'll begin to pick out the guys who are approaching a lot of women, asking them to dance, buying them drinks, etc. Watch what happens.
You'll be able to see for yourself that most of the time, even if the woman isn't interested, nothing bad happens.
You'll also see that when a guy tries to grab a woman who's walking by, makes a crude sexual comment, or just keeps talking when a woman isn't interested, that the woman's feelings might escalate and she'll respond negatively.
You can watch what works and what doesn't right in front of your own eyes.
This will start to reprogram your mind that women don't usually "reject" men, even in the most intense situations where they're being approached all night.
2) Start small.
If you have to, start by talking to women who are paid to talk to you. Go to a mall (one of my favorites).
Stores in malls hire attractive young women. Walk into every store, and start conversations. Practice making eye contact.
Come up with a few jokes that you can use in any situation ("So, do you own this store? Perfect, then you won't care if I just take some things...")
Ask the salesgirls to smell your new cologne (the one you sprayed on your wrist next door) and give you her opinion.
The more you do this, the more you'll get used to starting conversations with women you don't know, and having comfortable conversations.
3) Choose one default thing for each situation.
It amazes me that guys don't think ahead. They don't plan what they're going to do. As the old saying goes "By failing to plan, you plan to fail".
You really need to figure out a default thing you can do to start a conversation with any woman, anywhere, anytime.
Once you come up with your idea, mentally rehearse it until you could do it in any situation. Then get out and do it.
