How to Make a Garden in Your Backyard: by William Davis

Having a garden in your backyard is easy and will give you treats all summer long, even into the fall. You may not have room for trees, shrubs or even a lot of flowers but don't let that stop you.So even if you have limited space in your backyard you can still have a garden. I am learning to use big pots to make my own container garden.Using containers and big pots you can easily move them around and water them. This is great when you need more sun, you can move them in the morning, afternoon and again in the evening. You move them in the evening to where they will get the best sun early morning.I love to watch gardening and cooking shows. This past Sunday I was tuned into Jamie at Home, love his style. His gardening friend was showing him various containers and even a bag of dirt he grew potatoes in. That rocked. He did point out that you need to keep these well watered as the existing water will evaportate much faster that from the ground because they get the heat and sun on all sides.I wanted to have more than just dried herbs and I see so many chefs online and TV that have herbs growing in the house. Well just take that same idea and move it into your backyard for your own little herb garden. You won't look at your backyard the same way any more. The pots you use for your outdoor container garden can be any size for herbs but root vegetables fo course are going to need bigger containers.
